| Womens clothes were pretty but not very uncomfortable to wear. They wore long dress with a petticoat. Most woment only had two sets of clothes, one set for weekdays and one set for Sunday. They would wear a corset around there waist. They would pull them real tight and it made it hard to breath. They would keep their hands warm with a muff. A muff is a cloth wrapped around the hands. When girls are five or six they wear the same thing as older women.
| The men did not wear long pants. The pants were called breeches and they wore them right below the knees. The breeches had button. Their socks were made of wool and called stockings. The shirts had ruffles at the neck and cuffs. They would wear a type of vest over the shirt called a waiscoat. The hats that they wore had three points and were called a tri-corner hat. If they wore a hat they did not wear a wig. The shoes were not like ours it did not matter which foot they went on, there was not a right and left shoe. Little boys wore a loose dress until they are five or six years old.
