Children in Colonial America
Children in colonial times had life’s that where very different from boys and girls today. Difficult work was part of every day. In order to have enough food and clothing the entire family had to work hard. Boys and girls began to do choirs as soon as they were able to walk and talk. Parents loved their children but they were very strict. To be a family they needed cooperation and to work to get everything done.After they harvested their food, everyone looked forward to the fair. The families were excited. They would all wear their very best close and go to the fair. They could win prizes and there where horse races. The children loved the fair.
